Every year, thousands of Missionaries enter the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah. Not only that, but around the world. As of this date, there are 15 Missionary Training Centers operating around the world. Argentina, Brazil, Spain, and Peru are just to name a few. Missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the past have spent anywhere from 3-12 weeks in these facilities. With the recent age change in which Missionaries can begin their service, that MTC time has been shortened to anywhere from a week and a half to six weeks.
With the Church celebrating it’s 50th year of Missionary Training in Provo, they gave KSL, the popular news station in Utah, a sneak peak inside the Missionary Training Center. They show the world the ins and outs of the training center, and just what Missionary Life is like. For those who have served Missions, this program will be a great way to reminisce over past experiences. For those who have not yet served, are preparing to serve, or are just plain curious, this 7-piece segment is a great place to start.
